FAQs
What is a lash lift?
Lash lifts are a semi-permanent reshaping of your lash hair with the use of a perming solution. It creates a natural-looking curl, giving lashes a longer, fuller and lifted appearance.
How long do results last? How often can I lift my lashes?
Lashes will remain permed/lifted through the natural shedding cycle. You can expect the results to last about 8 weeks. You may only return for a new lift once this period of 8 weeks has passed and your lift has fully grown out. This is to ensure that we maintain the health and integrity of your lashes.
Can anyone get a lash lift?
Unfortunately, your lashes may be too short in length to be lifted. However, this will be assessed during your consultation. Please note if you are under 18 we require a parent/guardian to be present during the consultation portion of your appointment. They will also need to sign our consent form on your behalf.
Can I get my lashes wet after a lift? Is there more aftercare I should be aware of?
After a full 24-hours post lift it is safe to continue your routine as normal. The curl is not compromised with cool or warm water. However, it’s recommended to avoid steam for 48 hours post lift. Please refer to the aftercare instructions listed above!
Can I wear makeup/mascara with a lash lift? What about false lashes?
After the first full 24 hours it is safe to do so. You may apply makeup as you normally would. Just make sure you are gentle with any application around your lash line.
DO NOT use eyelash curlers for the duration of your lift!
Using an eyelash curler can alter the look and results of your lift. It can also damage your natural lashes causing breakage and lashes to fall out prematurely.
Regarding false lashes, we find you won’t them as the lift provides plenty of curl and volume! However, if you choose to wear false lashes we recommend avoiding use for at least 48 hours post lift. Be very cautious with glue application and avoid placing false lashes too close to your natural lash line.
I use lash growth serum, can I continue doing so with a lift?
Lash serums can extend the natural growth cycle of your lashes. This can affect the result of your lift as your lashes may grow/shed differently than normal.
If you are currently using any lash serums, we ask that you suspend use for a minimum of 48 hours pre lift and 48 hours post lift.
I’m worried about having an allergic reaction, can this happen with a lift?
While an allergic reaction is possible, it’s very rare as the perming solution does not touch your skin. If you have any concerns or allergies, please mention them to your stylist and we will happily conduct a patch test before your service.
